Job Title: AVP - Legal

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience (Healthcare/ Health Tech/ Startups sectors only)

Job Overview:

- ImpactGuru.com is seeking an experienced and highly motivated AVP - Legal to lead and manage all legal aspects of the organization.

- The candidate will oversee both litigation and non-litigation matters, manage a team of legal professionals, and ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

- The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate law, contract management, regulatory compliance, and handling disputes, while also contributing to strategic legal decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Litigation:

- Oversee and manage all litigation matters, including disputes, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

- Liaise with external legal counsel and ensure timely submission of legal documents and responses.

- Develop litigation strategies to minimize legal risks and mitigate any potential impact on the organization.

Non-Litigation:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents(e.g., vendor agreements, partnership agreements, MOUs).

- Provide sound legal advice on business operations, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

- Manage corporate compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

- Support the business in any new ventures or deals by assessing legal risks and implications.

Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure effective handling of all legal issues.

- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure professional development of the legal team.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.

- Ensure compliance with corporate laws, including SEBI regulations, company law, labor laws, and intellectual property rights.

- Act as a liaison with government bodies and regulators when required.

Risk Mitigation:

- Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions.

- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies across the organization.

- Assist in the design and enforcement of company policies to mitigate risks.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Educational Qualification: LL.B/LL.M from a reputed law school.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in corporate legal matters, with a strong focus on litigation, contract management, and regulatory compliance.

Industry Knowledge:

- Experience in Healthcare/ Healthtech/Startups sectors only

- Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations, corporate law, and contract law.

- Proven track record of managing litigation and non-litigation matters.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
