The Job Title: Associate Sr.Manager - Finance

Location: Chennai, India

The Big Picture:

Illumine Industries is looking for a Sr. Finance manager to join our team. The role will be to build process to manage accounting, finance and help provide visibility to the management. The role will bear primary responsibility for helping Illumine Industries in the expansion phase across different verticals and geographies. We are looking for individuals with strong process driven and people skills, who are excited about having conversations with different stakeholders, understand the business needs and help accumulate insights for decision making. The position will be fast paced, will require superior organizational skills, and may require non-frequent travel, depending on where the opportunities arise.

What you'll do:

Accounting Management : 

1. Manage all accounting transactions

2. Prepare budget forecasts

3. Publish financial statements in time

4. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

5. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

6. Ensure timely bank payments

7. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns

8. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

9. Report on the company's financial health and liquidity

10. Audit financial transactions and documents

11. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

12. Comply with financial policies and regulations

Finance Management : 

13. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

14. Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take

15. Maintain the financial health of the organization.

16. Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.

17. Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances.

18. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

19. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

20. Manage the preparation of the company's budget.

21. Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

22. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

Must Haves :

1. Proven experience as a Financial Manager

2. Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst

3. Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns

4. Proficient user of finance software

5. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

6. Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

7. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

8. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

9. BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Great to Have :

1. CFA/CPA degree preferred

2. Proven track record of new business expansion [or worked to grow a start-up]

3. Business Intelligence tools, analytics platforms expertise.
