We are an IT start-up backed by the prestigious India Innovation Fund and a number of accomplishments that sets us a class apart in the industry.   Our technology enables consumer centric companies in Telecom, Internet, and other varied sectors to provide a high degree of personalized service to their customers. iKen Solutions is going global, and for that we require great expertise of industry veterans who can join us in the big leap!  Job Description:   Job Purpose:   - The incumbent will be Global Sales Head, specifically for Telecom domain, responsible for planning, organizing and driving business development activities and strategies that promote the growth of the organization.   - Must be able to take charge and exhibit entrepreneurial traits to define and develop lead generation strategies for new accounts and further penetrate in existing accounts.  - Responsible for maximizing revenue and optimizing customer experience.  Key Responsibilities:  Functional responsibilities:   Financial Planning:   - Lead Generation: Identify and qualify legitimate sales opportunities in new markets and industry verticals as strategized by the management. Define lead generation strategies for developing new relationships and leveraging existing relationships. (There will be separate KPIs for different verticals)   - Sales Target: Achieve and exceed sales revenue targets by winning new clients and penetrating business in the existing clients. Identifying and developing revenue-producing relationships with decision makers at the targeted firms. (There will be separate KPIs for different verticals)   - Profitability Target: Ensuring the profitability targets in terms of absolute profit target is achieved.   - Negotiation of Payment Terms: Negotiate contractual/payment terms and conditions to ensure fastest in hand collections of payment.   - Influencing Specifications for RFP: Influencing specifications of RFP in favor of iKen by means of technical arguments and good relationship with customers.   Customer:   - New Product Features: Incorporating new key features (beneficial for customers) in the product roadmap by way of gathering market intelligence and customer feedback.   Processes:   - Sales Cycle Time: Work towards minimizing the entire sales cycle time to convert a client. Ensure higher rate of conversion from Level 1 pitching to contract signing. (This point will be included if there is clarity on how it will be achieved)   - Product Roadmap: Documenting the market intelligence and customer feedback and communicating the same to VP Engineer & Product Manager based on which they will build the process roadmap.   - RFP Response: Ensure accurate responses to the RFP without any error.   - Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis and assess local market trends to provide ongoing updates on the business and local geographical trends. Document competitive profiles by tracking and summarizing activities of key competitors, keeping abreast about iKen’s technologies, keeping up to date with the new service portfolio and market trends. (Documenting the competitive profiles will be a KPI)   Team Management & OD:   - Hire & Train: Active participation in the hiring process as part of interviewing and assessing candidates for the team as per the requirements. Manage & mentor a high quality sales team to keep pace with the company’s growth.   - Performance Management: Ensuring the defined responsibilities, accountabilities, and authorities of direct teams and individuals are well aligned and understood by the team members. Assess each individual for strengths, weaknesses and appropriateness of projects, restructuring the department and/or individual roles as needed. Perform quarterly evaluation and annual appraisal for the team members.   - Retention: Keep a tab/lower the attrition factors within the team and advice and inform the management accordingly.   Coordination:   Internal coordination with:   - Engineering team: During the pitching stage involving them in the final round discussion with the client and acting as an interface between the client and internal technical team.   - Key Account Manager: For handing over the client once the contract is signed and for leveraging further penetration with the client firm.   - CEO: For defining the targeted firms and the direction in which sales is to be carried out.   External coordination:   - Existing clients: Act as an interface between the customer and internal team to ensure the right solutions is proposed to the customer.   - New prospective clients: Identifying decision makers in targeted firms and building relationship with them.   Desired Candidate Profile (High Level Proficiency):   - Knowledge in Telecom Space.   - Mapping of key influencers in various operators across the globe.   - Experience in telecom product/solution selling in consumer business.   - Knowledge in creating Business case/plans for organization   - Knowledge in preparing GTM/penetration strategy for operators across in various geographies.   - Eye on detail for meeting sales targets.   - Hands on experience in hosting CXO level meetings   Desired Candidate Profile (Moderate to Standard Level Proficiency):   - Experience in Analytics at fundamental level.   - Knowledge of eCommerce, banking domain, etc.   - Experience in selling analytics solutions.   - Exposure on SPSS, SAS etc.
