IIT-Madras is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Manager / Assistant Vice President in its Office of Institutional Advancement. The position is in the IIT Madras Alumni Charitable Trust, an organization that closely works with IIT Madras to help with fundraising and alumni engagement. This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate would be working onsite at IIT Madras, Chennai. The selected candidate would engage with the Alumni of IIT Madras spread across the Globe, to raise funds for the Institute - its research, infrastructure, students, projects, Chairs, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the various 'causes' (student scholarships, infrastructure, research, student projects, Chairs, etc) at IIT Madras, which require sponsors.
- Identify potential donors who can be approached through emails / phone calls / face-to-face interactions, and other modes of communication.
- Conceptualize and design the fundraising campaigns around the various 'causes' to render them effective.
- Effective Pre-Campaigns, Campaign Launches and Post-Campaign actions.
- Content creation and design of the digital retail fundraising campaigns with strong working knowledge of social media marketing.
- Regular telephonic calls and follow-up with potential prospects.
- Build strong relationships and networks with Alumni to ensure new donor 'acquisitions' year on year, retention and lifetime-value for donors, by using meaningful strategies.
- Own the end-to-end Retail fund-raising / Crowdfunding targets and work to fulfill the same.
- Build the strategic road map and growth for Retail / Crowdfunding portfolios of the office, year-on-year, and drive execution with the other teams of the office.
- Enhance end-to-end donor and fundraiser experience /delight.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Postgraduate in Management Studies / Business Administration / MBA, in Sales or Marketing.
- 7 to 10 Years of experience in Crowdfunding / Retail / Marketing environment.
- Knowledge of running a successful Retail / Crowdfunded campaigns.
- Knowledge of marketing, digital marketing, key trends, to create the right 'pitch' for the support.
- Excellent written & spoken English, and ability to create compelling content for email campaigns, which the readers can 'resonate' with.
- Ability to communicate effectively in 'cold calling' and eliciting good response.
- Knowledge of creating digital content including graphics for the email marketing / retail campaigns.
- Intent, drive and ability to work relentlessly, to achieve results in terms of financial targets and acquisition of new donors.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, such as the Marketing, Accounts, Deployment, etc.
- Work experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, Pardot, etc. would be an added advantage.
