Organization Description:

IFMR Investment Adviser Services Private Limited (IFMR Investments) works with the mission of “enabling investment into companies that affect low income households”, to further IFMR Trust’s goals of financial inclusion.

IFMR Investments is launching a USD 100 million, microfinance focused debt fund that would invest in a pool of high quality originators.

Job Description:

The position is a unique opportunity to fund raise for the first debt fund focussed on the Indian microfinance sector. The employee will work closely with the CEO, with responsibilities including:

- Develop a comprehensive fund raising strategy

- Research potential investors and develop a strategy to establish contact

- Arrange meetings with potential investors

- Deepen relationships with current investor base that has been contacted

- Lead correspondence with all investors

- Planning and organising investor meets

Desired Qualifications:

- Should be familiar with debt markets, cross border transactions and regulations governing this space

- Displayed fund raising abilities, specifically in the debt market space

- Has worked on fund raising from development finance institutions, sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds etc. in terms of the major players and the nuances of the space

- Thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and can manage multiple relationships while driving towards deadlines

- Has a ‘can-do’ attitude, proactive problem solving skills and resourcefulness

- Ability to travel within India and internationally

- Has 10+ years of work experience

- Knowledge of emerging asset classes like micro-finance, affordable housing finance, MSME finance is a plus

- MBA with specialization in Finance
