IDC - Senior Consultant/Senior Marketing Analyst - Advisory & Consulting Team

Overall Requirement:

The Advisory and Consulting team requires a mature and skilled, technology oriented professional to support the team in its day to day project delivery. The senior consultant shall work in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems within the IDC framework. They shall also work to improve the structure and efficiency of IT systems in various client organizations.

- Additionally, the senior consultant role shall also be responsible for individually driving projects and deliveries inclusive of client meetings, briefings, workshops (Emerging Technology, DX etc.). He/she shall also consult on multiple programs/projects as a subject matter expert of existing and new technology. This will also involve consulting on highly complex tasks, projects/programs or support issues that involve a high degree of risk, impacts business unit performance and makes use of the individual's high level of knowledge within one or more areas of specialty.

- Generate industry specific insights on emerging technology trends and case studies

- Develop research paper, tools & techniques in market research, buying behavior & services

- Contribute with consulting team in preparing CIS reports and publishing the same.

- Overall shall provide support in the development of future state options, strategy, and the identification of opportunities to improve business performance. They shall also make recommendations and influence long-term technology decision and planning for multiple departments or the enterprise

- The ideal candidate is expected to fully support the consulting team in such endeavors while simultaneously leading individually assigned projects to successful completion.

Key Results Areas :

1. Consulting Projects Delivery

- Research, Deck Creation, Data synthesis, Survey management, CXO interviews for consulting projects, Client Visits, client presentations (standalone)

- Timely delivery of consulting projects to the satisfaction of the client

2. Solutioning/Proposal making :

- Sales proposal creation for consulting projects.

- Timely and accurate creation of consulting proposals

3. Data Analysis :

- Ongoing analysis of data as a routine part of the consulting profile

- Analysis of data from surveys, trackers, market models etc. to be used on an ongoing basis for consulting projects

4. Report Writing :

- Report writing across technologies into CIS

- Report synthesis and writing for publishing into idc.com via CIS or stand along documents for clients like whitepapers, spotlights, flash, perspectives etc.

5. Ongoing Research :

- Ongoing research and insights around technology

- Ongoing research for self-development around technology areas as also to loop information and insights back into the team as also for client inquiries from time to time.

Key challenges remain around: Client Management (especially with demanding clients), Program and Time Management in view of simultaneous project deliveries, Managing interns for supportive work, Technology briefing calls with tech vendors and their application within on-ground WIP projects.
