It provides customers with essential tools for tracking and analyzing competitors in mobile devices market to help customers identify areas of market growth. This team works very closely and collaboratively with IDC's global network of analysts worldwide.
AVAILABLE ROLE :
We are seeking for a highly motivated analytically driven individual for the Market Analyst role for IDC's Mobility Team. The role is primarily focused on strengthening the domain research for India Market around IDC tracker and customer engagements related to Mobility Devices (Tablets, Wearables, etc..). The position is open for our Gurgaon office and reports to Senior Market Analyst/ Associate Research Manager of Mobility Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Analysis and Research :
- End-to-end responsibility for running the flagship tracker research programs in the Mobility space for the India market
- Conduct primary research individually and with the help of field agencies to gather key market data on a monthly/ quarterly basis
- Role may require managing field agencies and ensuring high quality data collection and validation
- Aggregate, analyze and quality check the data and present it in the prescribed tracker and report forms (pivot tables, presentations, reports, IDC defined formats)
- Lead technology / insights driven discussions with clients and other stakeholders in the ecosystem
- Direct liaison and coordination with clients with respect to research / projects
- The individual is expected to build strong value-based professional relationships with senior leaders of the industry (both vendors and end users) and to provide them with market understanding as well as advice around their strategies
- Close coordination with the sales teams for content/ Business Development and client management
- Product management / enhancement and new research products conceptualization (over a period of time)
Consulting projects :
- Collaboration with Consulting teams on specific projects both regionally and globally
- Contribute as a team member in execution of consulting projects
- Keeping pulse of current industry trends
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- 2-4 years of work experience in managing research/ consulting studies.
- Experience in managing end-to-end primary research/ consulting projects, preferably related to ICT industry.
- Knowledge on mobility devices like mobile phones, tablets, wearables is an added advantage.
- Good command on MS office tools - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc...
- A high energy individual who has passion to stay up-to-date with emerging trends of Mobility market
- An eye for attention to detail and utmost prominence for data quality.
- Strong analytical ability coupled with lateral thinking to draw inferences from both structured and unstructured data sets.
- Ability to liaison with stakeholders across the industry ecosystem.
- An exceptional team player who can seamlessly work with fellow colleagues to deliver high quality research products
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- A self-starter who is able to operate independently and is driven to success
- Ability to thrive under high pressure environment
- Open to learning new skills and competencies
