Job Opportunity for the position of Manager/Sr Manager - Underwriting in IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (Head Office)

Location : Mumbai (Lower Parel / Currey Road)

Job Purpose :

To underwrite insurance applications for Individual including online term plan and Group as per guidelines and in the TAT defined so as to ensure appropriate business to be placed and minimize the risk of company's exposure to claims.

Job Description :

1. Underwrite life insurance applications for Individual including online term, Credit and Group plans.

2. Report suspicious transactions to Risk and Compliance team.

3. Coordinate with channel and NB team to ensure complete and correct medical reports in the timeline defined.

4. Support the Claims team for investigation of the claims involving Medicals and underwriting inputs on the same.

5. Provide the required data, justifications and underwriting inputs for cases raised by compliance under AML.

6. Ensure timely & accurate generation of MIS Reports as per pre defined frequency for internal teams & external stakeholders like IRDA for Decline Life Database.

7. Managing customer queries and complaints.

8. Monthly collation of the data for the placed cases with the reinsurer and sharing of the same with them as well as internal teams.

9. Liaison with the Reinsurer for New & Existing product updating and revision.

10. Trace query login for system improvement on better deliverables

11. Quality Check and Underwriting Audit

12. Conducting training for underwriting team on new product launch, case studies & guideline change and also Conducting Alpha & Beta star training for sales force.

Required Experience :

1. Must have basic knowledge of Life insurance.

2. B Pharmacy/BAMS/BHMS/B Tech, etc preferred.
