Key responsibilities:
Handling litigation profile, such as -
- Handling litigations before Consumer Forums; State / National Commissions; Civil Courts; High Courts; Supreme Court; Insurance Ombudsman, Criminal Courts, etc.;
- Preparing pleadings & other court documents, briefing lawyers, appearing in courts, collating litigation data, maintaining litigation files;
- Planning legal action/defense, providing legal opinions, driving management initiatives relevant to the profile;
- Maintaining management reports/trackers of the profile (system based & non-system based), monitoring external counsels (performance & fees).
Candidate Requirement:
- Law graduate from reputed University (Masters preferred)
- 5-8 years of post-qualification experience
- Litigation experience (in-house or practice) compulsory
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Updated on case laws & legal provisions
- High research acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High language & comprehension skills
- Understanding of business terms
- Positive attitude
