Statistical analyst role within BIU

Requirements/Qualifications:

- MStat/ MA (Economics)/ MMath or other equivalent degree from reputed institute ISI, IISc, IIT, Delhi School of Economics, with a strong conceptual understanding of various statistical concepts like time series analysis, regression, cluster analysis etc. for model building and validation, and hands on experience of SAS.

- At least 1 year of experience in data analysis & statistical modelling

- Ability to use statistical tools specifically SAS efficiently

- Proficient with MS Office – specifically MS Excel & MS Power point

- Ability to determine, recommend and execute the best analysis given the context

- Ability to communicate results of statistical analysis in layman terms

Job Description

- Extraction of data from centralized systems/warehouse and refining the data to suit the needs of the analysis

- Defining an objective for analysis, creating hypothesis, data preparation and modelling, validating the hypothesis

- Development and application of mathematical /statistical/econometric models to achieve the desired objective

- Experience in building predictive models using SAS or any other statistical tool
