- You will analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

- Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads

- Responsible for planning, developing new room sales business while maintaining and servicing existing accounts.

- Responsible for revenue-generating and securing rooms sales from the corporate and leisure markets.

- Exceeding personal sales goals, monthly, quarterly, annually, through account development and maintenance.

- Conduct effective sales calls of a week and appointments, to promote and sell the guest rooms.

- Expected to build relationships with clients/guests who have business potential and sound knowledge of the key trends in local market.

- Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams

- Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients

- Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media channels

- Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions

- Work within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities

- Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs

- Attend Sales events, as required

- Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads

- Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner

- Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedure and develop the Sales team

- To achieve and secure tour group reservations for meal periods at the caf lodge.

- Responsible to prepare proposal, contracts, confirmation letters and negotiation within established parameters, ensure accurate records of potential customers and following through all potential business

- Responsible to prepare monthly rooms sales forecast and revenue and other sales reports.

- Collaborate with inter-departments and ensure smooth operations of all the departments.

- Carries out any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

- Manage team performance in compliance with company policies and procedure and develop the Sales team.

- Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the CEO/MD and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads.

- Manage the team and keep them motivated.
