Hyperion Principal Consultant

Provide Hyperion project leadership and guidance to assigned project teams focused on project architecture and management delivery of Hyperion EPM software integration and client business process improvement. Participate or Lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Act as the team lead on projects, providing guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consult with management of customer organizations. Create and maintain effective and reference-able client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Lead:

- Provide Hyperion application leadership and guidance to client regarding “Best or Common Practices” in the use of EPM applications. Work with client to develop a solution design that ensures business requirements are met.

- Provide thought leadership around industry best practices for improving operation efficiencies and profitability of the client business.

Project Initiation:

- Orient the team to the project - SOW, roles, responsibilities, deliverables, etc. Work with Practice Director or Managing Principal to initiate team. Build rapport with client business owners and client project team staff.

Project Management and Oversight:

- On-site Project Manager responsible for the development and maintenance of the detailed project plan. Manage and support project teams to successful delivery of the client’s business requirements through all phases of the implementation. Lead weekly project status meetings.

Marketing Awareness and Client Relationships:

- Maintain effective relationships with multiple clients and / or vendors. Publish and present to Hyperion user, industry, vendor, and recruiting communities. Develop and promote Jibe service offerings to target markets.

- Participate in the development of Jibe Intellectual Capital by contributing to EPM libraries, submitting papers to various Oracle publications, updating user documentation, and by delivering training, either internally or externally.

- Leadership and Professionalism: Encourage teamwork and positive working relationships within the project team for all consultants and client members, the practice, and throughout. Demonstrate industry and subject matter expertise to client and consultants throughout engagement. Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.

- Raise issues and work resolutions as they arise to ensure adherence to the project schedule. Work with the respective client functional lead(s) to ensure knowledge transfer, system smoke testing, and preparation of training materials.

Skills and Abilities:

- Demonstrated broad and deep expertise in at least one of the following Hyperion products: Planning, Essbase, or Financial Management. Multi-product expertise and Oracle Hyperion Consultant certifications strongly preferred.

- Proven technical and business skills, including financials, accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

- Thorough knowledge and experience of Hyperion implementation including installation, design, documentation, and configuration of application, reports and calculations.

- Ability to manage time, budget, team members and deadlines.

- Proven ability to develop and lead detailed solutions for complex projects that support client business processes.

- Ability to anticipate project risks and make corrective recommendations to both Jibe and client teams.

- Solid understanding of multiple business process expertise within one product family and impacts to other Hyperion products.

- Ability to recommend a solution that may include third party integration extensions to implemented core EPM products.

- Ability to identify, assess and mitigate relevant risks during bid development and project execution.

- Demonstrated, excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate to all audience levels from field consultants to client executive management.

- Successful management of relationships with clients and colleagues; coaches and develops others on project team.

- Strong ability to mentor project team members in an effort to provide professional growth, improve project success and enhance customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualification:

- Bachelors or Masters degree with 4+ years work related experience

- 2 years of experience leading and designing client Hyperion EPM solutions

- Minimum 4 full cycle Hyperion implementations: Planning, Essbase or Financial Management

- Experience in developing Workforce or Capex Planning is highly desired

Required Essbase, Planning and/or Financial Management module or peripheral product experience:

- Essbase Integration Services (EIS), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Business Rules (Classic / Calculation Manager) including advanced calculations, Financial Reporting, Smart View and Excel Add-In, Web Analysis, EPMA, Financial Data Quality Management (FDM)

- Basic understanding of relational databases, data warehouses and ETL processes commonly used with the Hyperion Product Suite

- Must be able to understand and communicate the appropriate technical requirements for installing Hyperion EPM.

- Willingness to travel up to 80%
