Position Objective:.
-As a part of a fast-growing business, the Category Growth Manager will drive strategy and profitability in the appliances and electronics spend categories.
- The Category Growth Manager for e-commerce business will be building and driving relationships and lead purchases from a variety of OEMs and other suppliers.
- The person will manage demand, product portfolio, costs, quality and Husk's delivery capacity.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Identify and onboard diverse brands and products across electronics, appliances, and mobiles categories.
- Convince new age brands to partner with Husk and contribute to our fast-paced growth phase.
- Utilize strong negotiation and analytical skills to establish and maintain successful vendor relationships.
- Manage the app catalogue by owning listing prioritization, product mix profitability and consumer buying trend analysis.
- Responsible for pricing strategy, promotions and customer life cycle management.
- Prepare customer communication plan, and in-app merchandising for category.
- Monitor industry and consumer trends and stay updated on market developments.
- Conduct advanced data analysis to understand key performance indicators and develop action plans based on insights.
- Influence various teams/stakeholders within the organization (planning, category buyside, marketing, CRM, app storefront etc. ) to meet goals.
- Drive new initiatives to improve the customer experience within assigned categories/projects.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize business profitability and expansion opportunities.
- Conduct financial analysis to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Effectively prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:.
- 4+ years of category management experience, preferably with minimum 1 year in e-commerce marketplace or quick commerce.
-Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases (SQL exposure a must).
- Very strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
- Preferred experience in high growth tech start-up, focused on Tier-2 markets with procurement or category management as a primary function.
- Strength in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
