Position Title: Human Resources Manager
Function: HR
Reports to: India Operations Head/Head of HR (US)
Location: Navi Mumbai, India
Hours: 3 PM to 12:00 Midnight IST
Position Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for providing HR support and formulating partnerships across the organization to deliver value added services to management and employees. The role will cover a broad range of HR functional areas including but not limited to talent acquisition & retention, Compensation and benefits, onboarding operations, compliance matters, employee relations, training and development, and policy advisement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performance and Compensation Management:
- Lead annual merit and bonus process to include communication, incorporating input and processing final recommendations
- Maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Manage HRIS transactions and maintain HR dashboard, including monthly and annual reporting and metrics
- Maintain employee personnel files
Talent Acquisition:
- Work with hiring managers on recruiting staff for job openings, including interns , contingent workers and consultants
- Responsible for posting jobs with appropriate job boards and agencies contacts for difficult to fill positions.
- Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
- Conducts phone screens to identify candidates to progress to hiring manager.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations, benefits overviews and other onboarding activities
Employee Engagement and Communications:
- Implement and execute employee engagement programs/practices that create a positive organizational culture and enable management effectiveness
- Coordinates new hire/termination/leave of absence communications internally.
Employee Relations:
- Conduct thorough investigations as needed and resolve employee relations issues effectively
- Communicate with employees as required in resolving conflicts and acting as a mediator in facilitating resolution.
- Assist leaders in identifying, documenting, and communicating results and deficiencies in performance. Conduct counseling, termination, lay offs, and exit interviews of employees as needed
Health and Welfare:
- Responsible for Benefits Administration including all reporting, answering benefits and leave of absence questions, participate in benefits open enrollment activities and Wellness activities
- Responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of payroll including preparation of related reporting, as well as assisting with escalation of issues and problem resolution.
Other HR departmental initiatives; including, but not limited to:
- Learning and Development
- Reward and Recognition
- Other duties as assigned
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or other related field
Experience Required:
- 5 + years of experience in HR generalist functions (recruiting, comp and benefits, employee relations, training, etc.)
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Outlook, and ADP systems
Skills and Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health, and safety laws and regulations of the country
- Able to handle a high level of confidentiality and common-sense regarding employee information.
- Good planning, time management, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under stress and handle a variety of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
