Human Capital Business Partner Specialist

D.E. Shaw (Hyderabad) looking for an exceptionally capable Business Partner (BP) to support our Human Capital team based out of the firm's office in Hyderabad, India. This is a generalist role that will support and work closely with fellow BPs and other employees to implement HR solutions. The BPs here operate as a united HR front to create strategic talent management programs and to improve workforce performance.

Primary responsibilities will include :

- Partnering closely with other BPs to deliver high value service to the business;

- Initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives

- Handling day-to-day HR operations of the various business units;

- Reviewing and analyzing business-specific data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience;

- Serving as a "trusted advisor" and being the primary point of contact for employees;

- Providing continuous support to employees on human resources related matters, policies, and procedures;

- Assessing training needs and conducting 1:1 and/or group training sessions, as required;

- Partnering with managers to retain, develop, and motivate employees to achieve their fullest potential;

- Planning and conducting business group specific engagement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Masters in Human Resources from a premium business school with 1.5 - 4 years of relevant experience

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations

- Skilled communicator with a strong ability to build relationships with employees

- Proven ability to work within constraints as well as challenge status quo.
