Role: Head of Product Management
Designation: Senior Manager - Product Management
Location: Gurgaon
Job Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and lifecycle of HSC products/solutions, from initial concept through to launch and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support to deliver products that meet both market demands and company goals. HSC's products and solutions are in 3 categories - existing products, prototypes/IPRs made by engineering for skill building and new products(greenfield).
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and inform product direction.
Product Development:
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Create detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitive products.
- Identify and articulate unique value propositions for the product.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
- Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
Performance Metrics and Optimization:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Monitor and analyse product performance, using data to drive improvements.
- Continuously gather and incorporate user feedback to refine and enhance the product.
Customer Focus:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
- Engage with customers and users to gather insights and validate product concepts.
- Ensure the product delivers exceptional user experiences and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field with an MBA or advanced degree.
Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in product management lifecycle
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Attributes:
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for creating exceptional products.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage a team of product managers.
Experience:
- 8 - 12 years of experience with significant part in product management, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products.
- Worked in technology companies, either service or product companies
- Should have exposure to international markets i.e should have positioned products/solutions in international markets.
- Should have experience working in one or more of the following markets: HiTech, Telecom, E-commerce, Automation (home, building, enterprise), Retail, Travel and Hospitality.
