Role Purpose : - IFRS 9 Financial Instruments is the most significant risk and accounting change since the initial adoption of IFRS, and one of the most significant changes in credit risk measurement since Basel II. - The role is part of the Wholesale Impairments Analysis Team located in Bangalore and has strong visibility and offers an excellent opportunity for individual development and career progression. It involves facing off to numerous areas of the bank and working together to produce Impairment provisions which ultimately get reported into the financial statements. Role Responsibility : Tasks include but are not limited to: - Performing Review and Challenge activities in a timely manner, including: - Expected Credit Loss (ECL) analysis, assessing modelling and non-modelling drivers of results - Review CRR concentration, LGD/PD/EAD Analysis - Providing commentary for ECL results and assisting in making strategic suggestions - Timely preparation of necessary decks to present to regional &amp; senior management - Support resolution of ad-hoc requests related to impact analysis queries for senior stakeholders - Work with Group Risk Analytics teams to understand credit risk methodology's relating to IFRS 9 - Coordinating activities with Stress Testing, Sovereign Risk &amp; Forward Economic Guidance Teams Education / Experience: - University graduate/PG in Finance, Computer Science or numerate related disciplines, experience of 6 to 8 years - Knowledge on trading business &amp; products, risk methodology and regulatory framework - Credit Risk domain knowledge, on metrics such as PD, EAD and LGD is essential - Experience in analytical reporting, RWA calculations - Ability to understand and document processes using data flow diagrams - Programming experience (SAS Base or SAS Enterprise Guide) is a pre-requisite - Good level of understanding of SQL, Excel &amp; Access (VBA level), MS-Office - Strong communication skills - Proven ability to work with stakeholders across regions
