The HR Generalist/Payroll specialist is responsible for payroll & HR operations. Responsible for having overall knowledge of all human resource functions.

- Payroll processing: Calculate employee pay, including overtime and bonuses, and ensure timely payment

- Tax compliance: Ensure that payroll taxes are calculated and paid on time

- Employee inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for employees with questions about their pay, benefits, or taxes

- Database management: Ensure that databases are set up and reflect the current employee base

- Legal compliance: Ensure that payroll reports comply with local laws and regulations

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with HR and Finance departments to access employee information

- General HR duties like new employee on boarding, employee engagement activities etc.

- Involved in Human Resource department goals, objectives, and systems

An ideal HR specialist will possess the following:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or any other related field.

- Prior experience of 6 to 8 years in the payroll field.

- Excellent communication, time-management and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office and operational knowledge of HRMS systems are an added advantage.

- Comprehensive knowledge of local laws and regulations.

- A problem solver with a curious mindset and quick decision-making ability.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, resource and time-constrained environment.

- Excel in a confidential work environment.
