- Accountable for end to end solution and functional definition, design and delivery against an agreed set of requirements

- Accountable for triage of requests identifying the appropriate requests to be completed alongside with the priority

- Provides support to customers during the idea formulation process offering subject matter expertise to the requestor and challenges ideas where appropriate

- Produce the high level architecture vision documents, as well as the more detailed functional specifications for the projects.

- Work with the enterprise architect in determining strategic priorities and review of the pipeline

- Act as the reviewer and quality gate for functional and solution analysis output for one or more components of a programme or project

- For technology-led items, act as the product owner and own the product backlog and ensure it is kept up to date with inputs from SMEs and build partners.

- Review the technical solution to ensure is fit for purpose and aligns with the overall end to end solution.

- Identification and documentation of data gaps to allow change impact and downstream impact analysis to be conducted.

- Oversee the business analysts and SMEs during the build and test cycle and own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement and design

- Working across multiple projects managing small analysis teams

- Assist other project team members in respect of processes, functional requirements and data, when required

- Challenge IT to ensure technical designs are addressing the user and functional requirements

- Identify and manage changes within your sphere of control, which are liable to impact other systems or work streams and communicate the impacts effectively

- Set the team work ethic, dynamic, attitude through effective management, setting an example and acting as a benchmark

- Work with the Project Manager to give clear status updates for presentation to the steering committee

- Support the documentation of the current state solution landscape across HR infrastructure, covering services, applications and interfaces (inbound/outbound)

- Evaluate applications/services and technologies used in current state and make recommendations for invest/dis-invest

- Ensure evaluation and recommendations provide a cost-based, risk-based view and on-off premise comparison.

- Provide key metadata information across the HR landscape including identifying service/application tech and business owners, change approvers, primary production support owners.

- Work with service/application owners to gather health/performance metrics and identify hot spots in the HR infrastructure with poor stability, poor integration, high outage incidences, high-level of complexity

- Follows the process in HR for ensuring architecture principles and standards are adhered to and support the HR CTA in embedding governance in the tech landscape based on these principles and standards

- Ensure that technology architecture principles support and complement the Group Data Architecture Capabilities

- Ensure all identified HR services/applications are documented in ServiceNow

- Support HR CTA in defining end-state and interim-state roadmaps for tech architecture.

- Provide solution architecture support in new/major HR transformation projects, particularly the up-coming HR Data Hub and Data Warehouse solutions.

- Take active part in the Architecture Design Authority reviewing both technology and data architecture for key change projects.

- Deliver key artefacts for the solution architecture on particular projects, e.g. solution design linking back to functional requirements, interfaces specification covering inbound/outbound flows and sequencing, web services, APIs, publish-subscribe et al

- Provide tech architecture approval during key toll-gates (license to build, licence to operate) for GFIS deployment of infrastructure solution

Stakeholder Management and Leadership :

This role with interact with:

- HR tech dev leads and project managers leading the delivery of major IT projects

- Group and Function solution architects and data architects to ensure consistency in approach to design principles from both aspects

- Support the HR Chief solution and data architects in delivering the transformation needed for the future state roadmaps

- Lead by example and mentor members of the HR tech and data architecture teams, to bring up the architecture capability in HR

- Provide support to CTA in Vendor and Sourcing Management.

- Take part in architecture design authorities and councils as needed

- Liaise with key Business stakeholders to understand business requirements, strategy, operational needs and priorities and ensure solutions are always addressing the business cases.

- Become part of the Lean Control Process and support HR to move towards Agile and the Lean Control Tool for delivering IT change
