- Constantly tracking internal and external environment (workers unions, govt, political bodies) and propose necessary adoptions and revision of processes/ policies in order to maintain state-of-the-art in HR delivery.
- Support the implementation of HR policies, guidelines, processes and procedures for the HR Business Partner and/or HR/direct.
- Guide and provide decision support to HR/BPs and business managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues, e.g. disciplinary actions incl. face-to-face meetings with managers/employee/union representatives, application of early retirement programs with execution of individual cases, termination of employment incl. negotiation of severance payments.
- Manage employment related litigation ensuring adherence to applicable laws
- Through an understanding of the business and engagement with the business leaders, translate the business requirements and challenges into relevant HR actions and initiatives.
- Liaisoning with government officials and local authorities.
- Contribute to a positive recognition of in public.
Who You Are :
- University degree or equivalent, with the main focus on Human Resources.
- University degree or equivalent in law with main focus on labour / industrial law.
- 7-10 years of managerial experience and proven track record in working across the core HR functions with specific experience in employee relations pan India.
- Intensive knowledge about the legal employment conditions and the Group HR policies and requirements.
- Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff, including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders.
- Experienced in multidisciplinary project and corresponding change management.
- Understanding of complex business issues and strategies, Passion to innovate, Power to change
- Good understanding of financial impacts derived from HR decisions and policies.
- Strong ability to give the vision to the local HR organization while being able to facilitate and make decisions in operational HR areas
- Professional leadership experience.
- Experience in leading a larger organization.
- Team-oriented leadership skills honed through experience with senior management.
- English language and one local language in addition to Hindi should be fluent in spoken and written.
