Objective of the Position:
- To provide an expert and professional HR service to both Management and staff which will achieve the business objectives of the site. This is generalist HR role in leadership, responsible for all areas of HR in Greenfield project (and operations in future).
Job Responsibilities: Key Deliverables
Talent Management :
- Overall Talent Management : Overseeing Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Talent Retention and day-to-day HR operations.
Talent Acquisition –
- Ensure with the function (HODs / Supervisors) to deliver the competitive edge to attract, recruit and retain the best talents for the company respective to ensure the right level systems, analytics etc.
- Ensure for systems in place for so as to have employees recruited in agreed TAT.
- Hiring tools to be in place like behavioral assessments / test, MIS, Trackers / dashboard etc.
- Life-Cycle Management : From employees joining to separation, ensure for all the processes and systems are in place and adhered to in a sustainable and scaleable basis.
- To oversee all activities related to training and development (Training School), Induction, Performance Management.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Defining and rolling out HR policies and systems
- Collate market data on compensation & benefits in surrounding vicinity and Best practices in Industry.
- Work on the salary grid for blue-collared / shopfloor employees.
- Work on annual increments, variable compensation, promotions, transfers and separations.
- Resolving employees queries over overtime, payroll, benefits, HR policies.
- Preparing monthly payroll inputs and checking it with output.
- Maintaining employee personal records including Salaries, in an online HRIS Oracle database.
- Defining and maintaining Time Office system for all employees.
- Talent Retention – work on innovative concepts / tools of employee retentions via various schemes. Track attrition and analyses reasons.
- Lead employee-engagement activities by involving cross-functional teams
- Statutory (Labour Laws) Compliance & Govt Relations
- To ensure statutory compliance under various labour laws /acts. maintaining up-to-date records & timely submission of all returns. Majorly – Factories Act, Contract labour (R&A) Act, PF Act, Payment of Wages Act, Shop & Establishment Act, Bonus Act and all other relevant labour laws.
- Ensuring periodic audits and corrective actions on timely manner.
- Ensure amicable industrial relations in a proactive ER approach.
- Lead and handle disciplinary issues or misconduct and compliance.
- Liaison & maintain good Government Relations and rapport with various Govt. authorities like DISH, Labour Dept, and PF, Apprentice, Employment Exchange etc.
- Contract Labour Management – Managing and checking contractors at site, ensuring due-diligence thru’ their compliances.
- Guiding Ist line Supervisors and Managers on various compliances.
- Manage PF, ESI, LWF, Gratuity, various insurance and workmen compensation policy
HR Misc :
- Lead and advocate company values and code of conduct by demonstrating felt-leadership.
- Develop, implement and measure relevant KPI's.
- Work on developing HR processes, procedures and guidelines constantly to ensure continuous improvement
- Provide support and guidance to Training Manager and Administration Manager.
- Lead Community activities as a part of CSR.

- Demonstrated leadership skills with influencing and good negotiation skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labour laws must.
- Meticulous in work, eye for detail and works on deadlines, for timely deivery.
- Excellent computer skills particularly in excel spreadsheet, with formulas.
- Should possess strong verbal & written communication & presentation skills
- Knowledge of local language (gujarati) would be added advantage, though not essential.
- High on motivation, with drive and passion and fire in a belly, to stretch and work beyond the boundaries.

- External like local village panchayat, sarpanch.
- Cross functional exposure :
- Working in tandem with other functional Managers. Interaction with other sites HR leaders.
Educational Qualification:
- MSW/MHRM/MBA(HR) or equivalent like MLW
- Preferred / Professional Qualification:
- Labour Laws Diploma / LLB or equivalent.
