HR Manager - Generalist

Overseeing the full gamut of H.R Generalist including organizational design, talent acquisition, recruitment, retention strategies and succession planning, performance management systems, employee relations, compensation and benefits, R&R, Joining and Exit formalities, Induction and Training, Attendance & leave management, Payroll Coordination with Accounts team , Creating and Implementing Reference manuals, like Employee Hand Book, Induction Manual, Training & Events Calendar ,Training Manuals, SOP’s, SLA’s, Team KRA’s, E - SAT Surveys & Conducting Internal Audits, employee counseling and feedback to Management, regular analysis of findings and action planning , General Administration and Facility management.

Employee Relations

- Planning and executing team building events such as in - office team lunch / birthday / festivals and other such celebrations; one evening / one day or annual team retreats

- Employee conflict resolution

Recruitment

- Placing job advertisements in leading dailies, various job portals per business requirement. Meeting business requirements within the quickest timeframe and keeping the recruitment cost at a minimum level

- Coordinating with placements agencies, felicitating interviews, profiling candidates and final negotiation

- Personally maintaining (updating and managing) the Hiring Process database in compliance with company practices

- Evaluate Candidates against the Requirements to ensure good match

- Source, Screen, Evaluate and Select candidates through a Structured Recruitment Process designed to obtain the best Candidates

- Cover all the Formalities from Short Listing Candidates to Approaching Consultants for Headhunt and Conducting first round of Interview, Negotiation of Salary after the Selection of Candidate

Joining

- Ensuring complete joining formality is done, pre - joining formalities, opening salary account, providing employee code, issue smart card, access card, issuance of appointment letter and other formalities

- Organizing an induction program for the new joinees - Inform Applicants of Job Duties and Responsibilities, Compensation and Benefits, Work Schedules and Working Conditions, Company Policies, Promotional Opportunities and other related Information

- Ensuring that basic requirements like laptop, mobile handset etc is arranged for in advance before the employee joins (coordinating with the IT team).

Separation

- Ensuring Full & Final Settlement is done, Issuing Experience and Relieving Letters, and completing other Exit Formalities

- Taking exit interviews

- Attendance Management: Co - ordination with team, leave management, record keeping & MIS

HR Policy

- Finalization of the Employee policy Handbook and getting legal endorsement for legal compliance

- Reviewing and Updating Policies from time to time in consideration with senior management

- Ensuring team compliance with H R policies

Salary

- Benchmarking salaries and salary brackets

- Responsible for preparation and submission of ESIC & PF Challan

- Preparing Salary of all the Company and Contractual Employees

- All aspects of Salary disbursement / salary administration / pay - roll management

- Manage statutory compliances like PF, ESI etc (if / as applicable)

Taking charge of Office Expansion (as and when required)

- Employee Performance Evaluation and Appraisals

- Coordinating with senior management and employees for regular appraisals (Interim & Annual)

- Refining the Performance Rating Scale and Using for Performance Evaluations

- Tracking performance reviews

- Matching employee performance v/s goals

Training & Development

- Training new hires per the HR & Operational requirements

- Tracking their progress over initial three months

- Coordinating with business heads on training and development needs

- Internal Project Mapping - mid - project and end of project

- Developing and executing regular Internal Team Learning Programs / workshops, storing the created programs for future use

- Arranging for training programs (in - house as well as 3rd party)

- Conducting employee satisfaction surveys and sharing the report with the senior management

Other HR activities standard for such roles

- Managing overall administration activities of the company which include but are not limited to:

- Coordination on travel related arrangements with employees and third party agents on visa, ticket bookings, hotel arrangements, etc.

- Basic understanding of the administration aspects such as facilities management, managing the office boys, managing office receptionist cum assistant, coordination with facilities management related vendors, office supply maintenance, office cleanliness daily inspection and enforcement via the appropriate responsible persons to maintain clean, healthy environment

Other:

- Setting realistic timelines for tasks / assignments / H R Administration projects; judiciously setting priorities to increase productivity and efficiency - - all of these to be followed with promptness, with prior discussion and agreement with the supervisor and with approval as applicable

Skills & Abilities

- Good knowledge and appreciation of HR processes, policies and sub - systems.

- Ability to appreciate and understand business situations and challenges and provide required HR support within the organizational framework.

- Good communication skills, both oral and written.

- Customer service orientation.

- Ability to interact confidently with a diverse cross section of people.
