Job Description - Human Resource Manager
Clarifications and following up on timelines and responsibilities :
Training & Development :
- Provide support to company efforts in the area of leadership development, manpower retention and development, skill transfer & talent pool formation through effective implementation and monitoring of HRD and Training initiatives at the Plant
- Design the annual calendar for training initiatives along with details of programme content, faculty and logistics and regularly monitors and reports to top management progress on the same
- Implement other suitable HR initiatives as may be decided on/approved by the top management from time to time
- Coordinate measurement of the effectiveness of these programs and takes mid course corrective actions wherever necessary
Staffing & Manpower Planning :
- Coordinate with department heads for finalization of staffing plans through internal or external recruitment based on the approved organization structure of the company
- Conduct/assist in manpower planning exercises as and when required to ensure optimum deployment of manpower at the Plant
- Manage recruitment and selection activities based on approved manpower plans as and when necessary
Industrial Relations :
- Interact regularly with workers and union leaders on all employee relations matters and execution of periodic agreements based on statutory norms, established practices and company policies
- Establish, modify and maintain effective IR procedures and practices including those for grievance management, disciplinary actions etc
- Ensure the maintenance of all statutory labour law compliance procedures and records and filings on a timely basis
- Liaison with labour authorities and other local agencies/stakeholders on all IR and labour law matters
Employees Policy & Welfare :
- Develop and update employee policies and manage their administration at the Plant
- Monitor the implementation of all employee welfare programs at the Plant
Personnel Administration :
- Manage the entry and access-control systems of the Plant premises, oversee attendance processes
- Monitor and ensure the smooth function of all Personnel Administration functions at the plant including the time office, payroll processing, employee records maintenance etc
Medical Services :
- Ensure provisions for appropriate medical facilities at the plant
Safety :
- Ensure the implementation of all statutory safety norms and takes necessary steps to create a safety awareness amongst all employees at the Plant
- Direct and supervise all activities of the Safety Officer at the Plant based on statutory requirements and company policies
Security :
- Ensure provisions for appropriate security at the Plant premises through employees and security contractors
- Direct and supervise the monitoring of the performance and effectiveness of the security contractor from time to time
General Administration :
- Ensure good housekeeping and maintenance of plant premises, with special focus on fire & chemical etc. hazard prevention methods
- Supervise maintenance of light vehicle transportation for employees and company guests and guest house facilities at the plant
- Establish and maintain appropriate security measures for the safety and security of plant and employees
Financial :
- Strive to achieve reduction in costs through maintenance of strict control on budgets and expenditure on HR

- Assist in preparation of company business plans by providing necessary inputs on manpower costs and providing cost benefit analysis of HR initiatives
Educational Qualification Requirements : Essential (The Basic Qualification MBA-HR/IR)
Additional Qualifications : LLB (Labour Law)
