HR Manager -
Key Function
- The Human Resources (HR) Manager will be integral in driving the rapid growth and development. A Company needs a HR Manager that will take leadership in recruiting top talent, establishing HR process and infrastructure that create a high performing culture.
- Specifically, the HR Manager will partner with hiring managers and management in driving Company's strategic initiatives in the areas of talent acquisition, recruiting, training, retention, and compensation solutions; evaluating best practices, and honing current operating procedures.
Recruitment /New Hires
- Manage the Open Positions report for inclusion in the weekly HR department meetings.
- Drive the creation of best practice recruiting including developing position descriptions.
- Act as a recruiter for open positions, identifying appropriate sourcing strategies: internet postings through job boards and social media, interview scheduling, feedback, external recruiter contacts and negotiations to make the hire.
- Support outreach efforts and on-campus recruiting programs for undergraduate recruiting and MBA recruitment.
- Act as a back-up person for conducting new employee orientations and exit interviews.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources in creating and implementing diversity initiatives.
People Administration and Coordination
- Partner with the CFO and Finance Director on managing all staffing and HR budgets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Be an ombudsman to all employees answering questions and HR inquiries that come to the department, in a timely manner.
- In conjunction with the HR Director, assist in establishing, communicating and administering a performance review process and communications that will provide a high performance culture that emphasizes results, quality and continuous improvement.
- Provide expertise to employees and management to enhance individual and department effectiveness.
Employee Relations/Terminations
- Provide employee relations support for all personnel issues (e.g. performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and ensuring federal and state compliance) conducting necessary ER meetings, providing documentation and manager counsel as needed in partnership with the HR Director and legal counsel if necessary.
- Conduct exit interviews and document them on the HR database. Periodically, provide insight and analysis for senior management.
- Coordinate and present, where appropriate, employee and manager training.
Strategic HR Initiatives
- As needed, support the HR team in strategic efforts defined in the annual plan that meet defined people and practice objectives for employees.
Competencies
Knowledge/Expertise
- Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred)
- 3 - 7 years in Human Resource with strong foundation in HR recruitment, administration, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training and development
- Digital media, search marketing or advertising background preferred. Experience in start-up, or entrepreneurial venture preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Must provide excellent customer service, understand the business needs, take initiative, maintain confidentiality, possess excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal), and express high standards of professionalism
- Ability to problem solve, be resourceful and think analytically
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exhibit proficiency with computer programs such as MS Office, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of HRIS systems helpful.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
