About our Client - Our client is a Taiwan based organization and a leading manufacturer of notebook computers, servers and mobile devices. They are setting up business in India and looking for a seasoned HR professional to come onboard to start the business from scratch. The manufacturing plant would be based out of Chennai.

Job Description - Reporting into an Operations Director, you would be responsible for setting up the entire business in India. The role would involves setting up a new HR team and hiring an employee strength of around 500 people this year to start of with (Plans to go up to 2000 in the near future)

- Putting the Talent Management framework into place for the organization

- Work on policies and procedures for the organization in India and ensure smooth transition

- Leading and developing a strategic road map for the India HR function through HR strategy, centre of excellence and HR projects across functions

- Driving values, vision and cultural transformation through strengthened leadership and employee communication

- Aligning organization design, performance management, retention and compensation strategies in liaison with global heads

- Designing and conceptualizing key initiatives and HR policies to build and nurture a knowledge organization

The Successful Candidate - As a successful applicant you should have 8-10 years of experience as HR Generalist with exposure to working in a plant as well as Corporate office. You should be familiar with the local policy and procedures required to set up operations in India. High preference would be given to people with experience of working in Taiwanese company in India and setting up things from scratch. Candidates with experience in IT related industry, especially electronics products would be given high preference
