About Our Client
Our client is a global consumer good company that is now looking to enter the Indian market. It employs 50,000 + employees globally and has a turnover of 10bn + Euros. With a strong presence in the APAC and Middle East region, they are now looking to set up operations in India, for which they are looking for an HR Head to be based in their office in Mumbai.
Job Description
Dual reporting into the MD for India and the APAC HR Head, your responsibilities will include:
- Manages a positive relationship with local union/employee representatives and leads information to, consultation with and/or negotiation with unions/works council at country level, if relevant
- Operational HR issues related to performance management, organizational and people development and change management
- Supports the development and delivery of business unit related topics in the Country/Cluster e.g. development activities, small organization or structure changes, data collection, interpretation and evaluation of appropriate remuneration issues
- Equip key assigned local business teams with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their people plans e.g. performance management, AO&TR, career management, development of teams etc.
- Advise on labor law, collective agreement and policy related issues concerning employees to make sure that the company is compliant.
- Liaises with business unit HRs and provides agreed support to fulfill business unit and global HR process requirements
- Secures HR services/support to local managers in all Business Units (e.g. recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, employment law) for all countries and to contribute to global HR process delivery with input or as process member (e.g. as super user)
- Harmonises HR processes at country level, in-line with HR Global and business unit principles, policies and guidelines
The Successful Applicant
You will have 7-12 years of HR Generalist experience in a Sales organization having managed both Sales and Plant HR. Experience in setting up operations in a start up environment with an MNC consumer good company is desirable. Only candidates from other MNCs may apply for this role. A strong grounding in HR compliance and labor laws and IR is essential for this role.
