Job Description - HR Generalist (Retail Industry)

Position : HR Generalist

Experience : 7-8 years

CTC Range : Up to 20-22 LPA

Industry : Retail

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in the retail industry. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience in HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and HR policy development. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing and implementing various HR initiatives and programs to support the organization's growth and employee engagement.

Responsibilities :

- HR Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day HR operations, including employee onboarding, payroll management, attendance management, employee benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.

- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.

- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, provide guidance on employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure timely resolution of conflicts or grievances.

- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems, conduct performance reviews, and provide guidance on goal setting, feedback, and employee development plans.

- HR Policies and Procedures: Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices, and effectively communicate them to employees.

- Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee communication channels.

- Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate and conduct training sessions on various HR-related topics, and support the implementation of learning and development programs.

- HR Analytics and Reporting: Generate HR reports and analytics to monitor key HR metrics, provide insights to management, and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate degree or HR certifications will be a plus.

- Proven work experience as an HR Generalist in the retail industry, with a minimum of 7-8 years of experience.

- In-depth knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.

- Familiarity with labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices in the retail industry.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and interact confidently with employees at all levels.

- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

- Hands-on experience with HRIS software and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

- Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
