HR Finance Analyst, HR Strategy & Architecture

Role Summary
As a HR Financial Analyst, you will play an integral part in the budgeting and expense management for the HR team, supporting our Global Talent and HR Analytics, System & Risk Management teams. The role requires you to be a liaison between the HR group and the corporate finance team with a strong focus on monthly reporting, financial planning, identifying & gathering value generated, building relationships with internal clients, detailed variance analysis, creating and maintaining financial models, and understanding key cost drivers.
The role will interact with HR professionals, corporate finance, and employees (our customers) to understand challenges to the business.
What will you do?
- Responsible for the generation, distribution, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual expense reports for the Human Resources group
- Initiate and drive the budgeting/forecasting process by actively engaging and interacting with Product Owners and HR leaders for the budgeting/forecasting process
- Act as a liaison between the HR group and Corporate finance team in all financial matters
- Identifying and tracking of value generation, performance, and savings across the group through the different service offerings
- Prepare financial modeling and business cases to support Capital investment
- Coordinating with leadership to prepare presentations to provide updates regarding current & future states
- Analyze variance and trends in expense and provide regular updates to business leads
- Develop and operationalize project estimation tools and coordinate with Product Owners and HR leaders
- Develop, operationalize, and automate budget forecasts, actuals, and report insights
- Work with support teams through our vendor Procure-To-Pay processes
- Analyze business cases to determine viability and develop pricing for products and services
- Tell great stories to our senior leadership about the value you deliver and recommend enhancements in the space
What do you need to succeed?
Preferred Skills :
- Experience working with Corporate Finance, budget management, expenses, procurement processes, chargeback models, and pricing models
Qualifications :
- Progressive experience within financial management functions (3-5 years)
- University degree (Business) and accounting designation (CPA,CMA,CGA) or progress towards the same would be an asset
- Advanced proficiency level and experience with MS Excel is required - demonstrated ability to summarize and distill volumes of data into meaningful reports
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
- Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion and GL, Planning systems and BI tools is preferred
