Position: HR Compliance

Location: Mumbai

Educational Background: MLW / MSW / MPM / LLB / LLM

Experience:


- Typically, 15+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.


- Should have an experience of handling labour laws in manufacturing experience.

Job Description: Head of Compliance & Risk

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance Oversight:

- Ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise management on necessary adjustments.

- Develop, implement, and monitor company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Policy Development and Implementation:

- Design and update internal compliance policies to align with legal requirements and industry best practices.

- Work with different departments / stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.

- Ensure that employees are well-informed about compliance protocols and update them through regular training and communication.

Risk Assessment and Management:

- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate compliance risks.

- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and establish preventative measures.

- Collaborate with legal and audit teams to create and implement effective risk management frameworks.

Monitoring and Reporting:

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

- Track and report compliance metrics and potential risks to executive management.

- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and provide timely reports to regulatory bodies when necessary.

Training and Development:

- Develop and lead compliance training programs for employees, fostering a culture of ethical conduct.

- Stay informed of industry best practices and integrate relevant changes into compliance training materials.

Leadership and Collaboration:

- Work closely with other departments, including legal, finance, audit, and risk management, to create a cohesive approach to compliance.

Qualification and Experience:

- Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory environments related to the manufacturing & Shops & Establishment, including knowledge of applicable laws and best practices.

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

- High ethical standards and an ability to promote compliance culture.

- Leadership abilities to work with different stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Non-Compliance incident rate, audit findings, employee training completion rates, regulatory reporting accuracy, and risk mitigation.
