Job Purpose :
- To work in partnership with the Retail operations to manage the regions HR operations in line with the Corporate HR strategy and action plan. To provide specialist coaching, support and influence that enable store operation to effectively deliver their people plans
Job Details :
- Provide HR Business Partner support to the Retail by developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging the Regional management team on their personal style and the development and delivery of their people plans and HR strategies.
- Proactively gain Retail feedback to aid HR function, improve service levels and alert HR areas where an issue/project may impact on other areas.
- Train and equip Retail Operations with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their people plans e.g. performance management, absence management, career management etc in line with the guidelines issued by the Corporate HR.
- Provide project management support and HR expertise to Retail Operation with specific related projects
- Contribute to the delivery of Retail Operations KPI's e.g. attrition, customer service
- Facilitate the creation of a communication and implementation plan into the Retail Operations area that achieves the agreed people deliverable.
- Working in partnership with Retail Operations manage employee relations issues
- Identify gaps in existing HR policies and contribute to the development/amendment of HR policies and procedures. Consult and deliver new/amended policies and procedures into the business area.
- Support Country/ Region with disciplinary/grievances and other employee issues where specific business area knowledge is essential
- Identify short, medium and long term resourcing issues. Build and maintain the local manpower plans, co-ordinate with the recruitment team at corporate over workforce supply and demand
- Challenge Retail Operation on new roles, replacement strategy, grading, benefit bands etc and feedback the same to the Corporate
- Implement with Retail Operations reward and recognition interventions in order to meet business needs as per guidelines from Corporate HR
- Identify individual and collective learning and development needs, feed these back to the corporate learning and development function for action
- Identify, contribute to the design and evaluation and deliver in conjunction, with specialist HR functions, development interventions to support local business needs
- Work with the Retail Operation in business area to introduce and establish systems that identify employees with high potential, develop career paths in consideration of key roles for succession planning
- Deliver and monitor the HR metrics developed by Corporate HR for the business area that show value added by HRBP and support decision making
- Accurately and efficiently manage the payroll function ensuring all payroll processing happens through software, is accurate, all transaction is recorded in HRMS and all employee related provisions and costs are correctly defined, monitored and reported to the Head of HR in accordance with the corporate reporting formats
- Define, document and quantify all HR Admin processes and setup performance standards for each process and ensure their implementation in the regions.
- Assist in implementing the annual HR strategy, communicating with other functional/departmental managers to understand all the necessary needs of HR &
- Admin in light of the Region & company's HR goals and vision, i.e. Budgets, administrative targets, legal compliance, PR issues etc
- Manage the employee relations, employee discipline and time office functions in his/her region, ensuring that all attendance records are correctly and efficiently maintained and analysed, employee queries, request and issues are promptly addressed and employee grievance gets handled in a manner which is ethical, professional and legally compliant.
Person Profile :
- Must have current HR experience. Preferred from the retail sector
- Qualified with a recognized HRM (HR /Psychology) qualification
- Previous experience of 12-14 years working as a strategic HR business partner or progressive experience as an HR
- Knowledge about industrial and labour relations, labour laws, and hiring practices for the GCC region
- Have an understanding of the current business climate and career trends
- Be computer savvy
- Good Interpersonal skills
