Position Summary:
- The Plant HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employee management in a manufacturing plant environment.
- This role acts as an employee champion and change agent, developing and supporting HR initiatives to ensure the effective operation of the plant.
- The HRBP collaborates with plant leadership and HR team to foster a positive work environment, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- The HRBP primarily works onsite at the plant, interacting with various departments and employees.
- Plant HRBP, balances operational support with strategic HR functions to enhance employee engagement and optimize plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prior background in Implementing HR best practices in a plant environment for both on-roll (permanent) and off-roll (contractual) employees.
HR Strategy and Business Partnership:
- Act as a strategic partner to the plant leadership team, understanding operational goals and translating them into people strategies.
- Provide guidance on organizational structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee issues, handling complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement, retention, and motivation.
Performance Management:
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Promote a culture of continuous feedback and development.
Training and Development:
- Assess employee training needs and work with the corporate team to implement programs that upskill and empower the workforce.
- Coordinate leadership development and employee training sessions to drive skill growth.
Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Conduct audits, support health and safety initiatives, and collaborate with the safety team to address any regulatory needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Work with corporate HR to manage compensation structures, conduct wage surveys, and ensure fair and competitive pay for plant employees.
- Act as a resource for employee benefits, assisting with enrollments, questions, and communications.
Employee Engagement and Culture Building:
- Develop initiatives to boost employee engagement, reduce turnover, and improve morale.
- Organize employee events, recognition programs, and other initiatives that align with the company's culture and values.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze HR metrics, including turnover rates, absenteeism, and training effectiveness.
- Report data to management to help guide workforce strategies and measure HR effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's /master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment, with a strong background in employee relations, compliance.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations.
