Our client is one of the leading organisations in the Sultanate of Oman, with a footprint across the kingdom. Their flagship company is one of the most respected higher education institutions in the Sultanate with over 5500 students. It is located in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat and is affiliated with Coventry University, UK and Wolverhampton University, UK.
We are seeking to identify a senior HR professional to lead the implementation of world-class OD initiatives for the institution and play a leadership role in implementing the people strategy for achieving long term organizational goals, in partnership with the senior management.
The Role
As a HR business partner, you will be responsible for OD initiatives with a special focus on talent management and development. Another key element of the role would be to mentor the Personnel Manager and support him in implementing HR policies and initiatives.
In addition, given the academic environment as an institution of higher learning, the job provides the incumbent with the opportunity to teach a course/module in any aspects of the Human Resource Management, as a faculty.
Your Profile :
You should be an MBA, with specialization in Human Resources with 12 to 15 years of experience
Prior experience of handling a team as a HR departmental head.
Some exposure as HR Business Partner and understanding of HR concepts, as well as a good understanding of business processes.
Ability to deal with ambiguity. The person should have good understanding in translating HR concepts into HR programs from an implementation perspective
Some experience in teaching, at College or University level would be a definite advantage.
