Job description
- Primary responsibility is to partner with the Organization to identify current and future business needs and design HR strategy and plan the intervention(s).
- Support HR leadership team and provide the interface between HR and the department which in turn results in an effective front line HR delivery to business.
- As a senior site level contributor, you will negotiate complex and ambiguous challenges, driving solutions that benefit both the client organization and EMC at large.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic functional leadership within the site;
- Participate with other senior managers to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives; make decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensure effective achievement of objectives.
- Coach, mentor and provide feedback to the departmental senior management team and line managers and improve individual and organizational performance.
- Represent the HR organization as the principal customer contact and often performs project leadership role
- Responsible for a variety of human resources programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources, including organizational development, operations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, or training.
- Typically takes the lead in developing complex company policies which not only affect immediate operations, but other functional areas, and potentially affect company-wide operations
- Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Uses judgment within broadly defined policies and practices.
- Frequently contribute to the development of new theories and methods. Employs expertise as a generalist or specialist.
- Lead cross function projects within and outside of HR.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 8-11 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Client facing HR.
- At least 3 years of experience in the IT Industry
- The ideal candidate demonstrates critical thinking, judgment, coaching and influencing skills that converge to create executive presence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in all mediums, especially in stressful situations, and demonstrate a desire to play a critical and integral role in the client organization.
- Able to negotiate, influence and resolve controversial, high-impact human resources issues; may lead human resources strategy discussions and generate plans for implementation in accordance with EMC’s objectives; pursue and implement new business opportunities.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
