HR Business Partner - EduTech Startup

Started by two classmates of IIM Indore, the firm is an Edutech career counselling startup. Their aim is to guide the students towards discovering their potential and enable them to make the right career choices.

They as a firm want students to take informed decisions and they achieve this using a variety of tools including :

- Running career counselling workshops, showing them movies that the content team makes, introducing them to various careers by inviting guest speakers, conducting an aptitude test, doing one on one counselling - all to make sure every student knows his potential and the right career for him.

Current Clientele : Premier schools of the country including: The Doon School, Lawrence School Sanawar, Sishya School Chennai, NPS Bangalore etc. They currently operate in 15 states.

Ideally the candidate should have a Generalist outlook to HR with an understanding of :

Talent acquisition : this is a critical aspect of the role creating and tapping a pipeline of resources who will be able to work with One Step Up in student engagement, content or support functions.

Policies : framing and statutory requirements if any

- Compensation structure management - ideas on better compensation structures, variable components etc will be encouraged and welcome.

Employee engagement :

- Interest and some exposure to training even if conducted at junior level but desire to do more.

- Developing training, and Delivery when needed

- Identification of training needs in employees.

- Appraisal management annual appraisal management and processes.

- Overview of HR administrative aspects such as leave management, attendance etc

Candidate Profile :

- Should understand and handle HR operations well

- Exposure to system driven organisations will be a great advantage

- Exposure to building or creating systems of any kind will be given preference

- Excellent spoken and written English required

- Should be a go-getter and ready to grow with the organisation

- High on creativity, enthusiasm and people connect

- Ability to multi task with high quality output
