- Our client offers a subscription based service for kids that offers an inquiry and play-based program for early childhood learning at home for children. It is a startup founded by alumni from IIT, IIM and Georgia Tech that is backed by industry veterans and funded by top-tier venture capital firms. We design, develop and deliver activity kits to the homes of the subscribers every month on a subscription basis. The boxes contain all material and instructions for hands-on fun activities that children in the age group of 2-12 years can do with their parents.
As a HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for hiring great talent, driving performance and creating a world class culture. You will also berequired to manage workforce issues, office politics, employee grievance, disciplinary issues etc.
What you will do:
- Responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel relating to a range of HR matters including: strategic initiatives, issues management/escalation, building and managing talent, diversity and inclusion etc.
- Understanding business strategy, plan, and activities, assess needs and barriers in order to drive business performance through development and delivery of people strategy and solutions (e.g. leadership development and gaps, succession planning, acquisitions and integrations, etc.)
- Anticipating people specific needs that drive business strategies forward
- Challenging the status quo in order to continuously add business value
- Turning ambiguous problems/blank pages into structured approaches and creating a structured change plan
- Be a steward of the company's risk culture and understanding the company's risk management framework
- Engaging Employee Relations to advise/guide leaders on difficult/complex ER matters (harassment, fraud, discrimination, termination etc)
- Leading the activity to translate the resourcing requirements and Talent Management into achievable resource plans
- Diagnosing and delivering full talent interventions (quality, diversity and depth) against business needs
- Initiating and rolling out HR and Talent Management initiatives
- Implementing & facilitating key employee retention and change management
- Educating the business on HR trends that affect the business
- Transforming business needs into appropriate people initiatives and performance requirements
- Rolling out employee satisfaction surveys and driving high performance engagement index
- Actively identifying gaps, proposing and implementing changes necessary to cover risks
What you need to know / have:
- Qualification in HR from TISS, XLRI, MDI,XIM,IIM,Symbiosis
- Female Candidates preferred
- Proven industry experience in managing a team of 1000 - 1500 employees
- Experience in handling workforce issues, office politics, employee grievance, disciplinary issues etc. is a great plus
- Strong Business Partnering skills
- Excellent communication skills
