Team Overview

- HP Global Analytics tower reports to the HP Office of Strategy and is one of the key knowledgement management and analytical center of the company.

- The Marketing Services team within the Global Analytics tower is responsible for strategy and execution of key marketing priorities of HP Business Units worldwide and in the regions. The Team works in a share services platform and is closely engaged with the Technology Services business for the strategy and implementation of its portfolio marketing initiatives

Job Description:

- Responsible for handling Statistical modeling projects independently for the ES business

- The analyst will provide end to end Project management support for HP ES customers on different forecasting models and statistical techniques – should be hands on

- Responsibilities shall be from exploratory data analysis to developing models and forecasts and to keep enhancing accuracy of the models by improvising the algorithm

- Should produce reports and analyzes data to develop trends of business data

- Collaborates with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance current business processes.

- Reviews performance on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement

- Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business units

Required skills:

Excel and SAS is mandatory

R is a preferred skill set

Exceedingly good communication skills – as interactions are with senior leaders in the IT organization and in ES Business

Education and Experience Required:

- Any Graduate from a recognized university with Advanced Statistical degree

- Masters is mandatory – either on Statistics or an MBA with Hands on statistical experience

- Typically 5+ years of experience in Data analysis domain with atleast 2-3 years in developing statistical models in any business function (supply chain, sales forecasting, lead management etc.)
