About Global Analytics, HP Corporate Strategy & Alliances

Global Analytics (GA) is a 1000+ member group that enables HP to win at the marketplace with the power of Analytics. We, as part of HP Corporate Strategy & Alliances organization, work closely with various businesses and regions of HP across multiple domains, e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, etc. We provide data-driven insights through advanced analytics & modeling, business research and performance analysis & reporting.

Within the Supply Chain & Channel Sales Analytics team, we are focused on providing tangible business impact to the supply chain, channel sales & customer service processes across HP businesses either in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement or revenue enablement through actionable business insights, improved planning or advanced analytical solutions.

This position would be part of the Strategic Projects & Solutions team within Global Analytics Supply Chain, Channel Sales & Customer Service group. Channel partners would typically include distributors, wholesalers, retailers, etc. The focus of this role would be three-fold:

- Building a strategic channel growth roadmap for GA working with leaders in business units and GA and further prioritize the opportunity areas

- Drive strategic initiatives & projects working closely with channel sales strategy & go to market leaders within HP

- Responsibilities would span across problem definition, running assessments, sizing and scoping opportunities, generating actionable insights, building solutions and help in deploying them into the businesses

- Support efforts to institutionalize and expand analytics footprint into new organizations with HP

- Develop new innovative solutions & capabilities on white spaces and business requirements working closely across business analytics and business teams

Preferred Knowledge, Background and Skills:

- MBA or PhD in Marketing/Operations and a Bachelor’s in an Engineering discipline, both from tier 1 institutes either in India or abroad

- Strong global experience in reputed consulting organizations or sales strategy / planning functions within organizations working closely with the Go to Market teams and end customers

- Strong domain knowledge on key functions (breadth on all and depth in a few) – product mix optimization, product and deal pricing, product/customer/market segmentation strategies, partner incentive design & budget optimization, customer loyalty improvement, campaign / promotion planning & ROI modeling.Exposure to the upstream supply chain concepts is a plus

- Ability to handle ambiguity and open ended challenging assignments

- Ability to lead projects independently leading cross-team analysts and SMEs from GA & businesses

- Good exposure on building & deploying analytical solutions to improve business results

- Expert knowledge and hands-on skills on some of the business analytics tools, e.g., MS Suite, optimization / OR Solvers, statistical tools, simulation solutions, secondary research exposure

- Excellent communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation) and executive presence
