Digital Analytics Expert
Job Description :
- We are currently looking for an ecommerce specialist for the HP Store. You will be involved in customer analysis and data mining, pre and post campaign analysis, optimizing product pricing and discounts, and building recommendation engines. You will also measure and report store performance to senior management using visualization tools.
Responsibilities :
- Leverage internal and external databases to strategically drive CRM activities across customer segments.
- Integrate data from multiple systems to analyse campaigns and purchase behavior e.g. email data integration with clickstream data, BI data + clickstream data, Acxiom + internal data integration
- Own performance tracking and data analyses for key initiatives
- Build & deploy global metrics through standardization
- Ability to summarize data investigation/ findings for senior management
- Create workable plans and gain alignment with IT and other business groups for common processes and platforms that can support multiple business units and customer segments
- Create and deliver effective and persuasive verbal and written presentations for business leaders.
Skills Required :
- Proven capability in providing analytical solutions to unstructured business problems using data mining and simulation techniques in the areas of marketing and customer analytics. Strong experience in data analysis.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts with experience in writing and tuning SQL queries in an online or offline environment. Well versed with MSFT SQL, MS Access, Oracle, Vertica, etc.)
- Good exposure to statistical techniques like linear regression, clustering, time series modeling etc. with expertise in statistical tools, preferably R
- Working knowledge of Adobe SiteCatalyst or Google Analytics handling click stream data
- Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau/Qlikview is a must.
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel & MS Access skills. Knowledge in advanced excel functions and building macros for automation.
- Strong project management and consulting skills. Self-starter with an ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Proven ability to lead a peer group and other analysts to solve complex analytics challenges
- Good communication skills with ability to convince key decision makers of business benefits of the proposed solutions.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural global environment and flexibility to operate across time zones
Experience & Background :
- 4-8 years experience in the field of analytics.
- Should have worked across functional areas like Marketing and eCommerce.
- Experience in technology industry and/or in the eCommerce Industry would be preferred.
- BE in Computer Science or IT with experience in data analytics, or MBA from a premier institute with a quantitative background
