Job Description:
- HP’s Printing Business constantly works on improving its product portfolio based upon customer feedback. Through an active feedback program, we collect, collate and analyze how our customers are using our printers. Usage Analytics encompasses ability to handle big data with new age big data tools such as Vertica and Hadoop, helping improve the database architecture to absorb customer inputs, understanding the signals provided by the customers and predicting usage by product lines, geographies and verticals.
- Guide and Lead the team while working with business partners to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet & exceed their expectations.
- Provide thought leadership in usage data analytics, customer segmentation, targeting strategy, and customer loyalty programs. Quantify results of efforts in business terms.
- Actively participate in marketing and product strategy by providing customer insights driven by quantitative information.
- Create workable plans and gain alignment with IT and other business groups for common processes and platforms that can support multiple business units and multiple customer segments
- Leverage internal HP databases as well as external third party databases to strategically drive relationship marketing activities across customer segments.
- Incubation and program management of new projects
- Create and deliver effective, persuasive verbal and written presentations for business leaders.
- Coach and mentor the team in career planning, pathing and progression
- Help in learning sessions for the team focused on teaching specific tools and techniques to fellow team-members.
Skills Required
- Proven capability in providing analytical solutions to unstructured business problems using data mining and simulation techniques in the areas of marketing and customer analytics. Solid experience in advanced analysis and statistical modeling
- High level of proficiency with SAS EG & PC SAS, particularly SAS/BASE, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/MACRO & SAS/STAT. Expertise with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Brio, Business Objects, etc would be preferred.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts with experience in writing and tuning SQL queries in an online or offline environment. Exposure to Informatica products preferred.
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel & MS Access skills
- Strong project management and consulting skills. Self starter with an ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Proven ability to lead a peer group and other analysts to solve complex analytics challenges
- Good communication skills with ability to convince key decision makers of business benefits of the proposed solutions.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural global environment and flexibility to operate across time zones
Experience & Background
- 7-14 yrs experience in Customer & Marketing Analytics, Marketing or Consulting. Experience in technology industry and marketing performance measurement preferred
- People management responsibility of 2-5 years
- Experience in Consumer or SMB marketing in retail or channel environment. Exposure to Web Analytics domain would be a huge plus.
- Masters in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics or any quantitative domain, or MBA from a premier institute with a quantitative background
