Role description : - As Operations specialist, you will be responsible for bringing in best practices into Manufacturing, Installation and Supply Chain. You will own improvement initiative, not limited to, bringing lean manufacturing methods in shop floor, Six Sigma if needed, initiatives to bring down transit damages and transit time, bring down the time for installation. - More specifically, below are the metrics that are measurable and the initiatives will be targeted towards improving these metrics. KPI : 1 Manufacturing TAT 2 FTC (First Time Complete) 3 FTR (First Time Right) 4 Installation TAT 5 Transit damage occurrence Responsibilities : Shop floor processes : - Standardise processes across all production lines in HomeLane - Implement 5S/Lean/Six Sigma processes wherever applicable - Optimise wastages and reduction of errors inside shop floor - Reusability - Bring in process to reuse all possible raw materials Quality : - Process for Quality check of incoming raw materials - In-line QC - Reject items in shop floor itself and prevent incorrect items from being passed to the next workstation - Final Assembly and QC - Improve processes to achieve First Time Complete (This will involve all phases of production viz. - Bill of material generation, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality Check) Installation : - Implement 5S at customer installation sites - Process implementation at customer site to reduce manpower idle time, overall TAT Skills, capabilities & background : - The ideal candidate will have an owner-mindset. The role is challenging and not for the faint-hearted. This is what you need to have to succeed in this role: - Graduate / Post-graduate from a Tier 1 engineering / management school - 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing sector like Automobile, Furniture, Capital goods - Strong knowledge of best practices - Six Sigma certified expert - Owner DNA - Excellent people management skills (ideally, should have managed a span of 5+) - Solid project management - High bias for action
