We have a role for HOD - MBA program for a leading Business School and College with Graduate program to be based in Bangalore.

Head of the MBA Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the department, ensuring academic excellence, faculty development, student engagement, and industry collaboration. The HOD will play a key role in curriculum development, research, and fostering an innovative and holistic learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Academic Leadership & Administration:


- Lead the MBA department with a focus on academic excellence, research, and innovation.


- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with AICTE, UGC, and industry standards.


- Develop and implement student-centered learning methodologies and pedagogical innovations.


- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration within the department and across the institution.


- Ensure compliance with AICTE/UGC/NAAC guidelines and accreditation requirements. Faculty


Development & Mentorship:


- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members to ensure teaching excellence.


- Encourage faculty members to engage in research, publications, and professional development.


- Promote faculty participation in seminars, conferences, and academic collaborations.


Industry & Corporate Engagement:


- Strengthen industry partnerships to enhance student internships, placements, and live projects.


- Facilitate guest lectures, industry visits, and leadership workshops.


- Encourage student and faculty participation in consulting projects with industry leaders.


Student Engagement & Career Development:


- Foster a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that enhances student learning outcomes.


- Oversee student counseling, academic advisement, and career development initiatives.


- Encourage students to participate in research, case studies, and business competitions.


Research & Thought Leadership:


- Promote a research-oriented culture within the department.


- Encourage faculty and students to publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.


- Facilitate research funding and grants through industry collaborations.


Required Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualifications:


- PhD in Management/Business Administration (Desirable) - UGC-NET Qualification (Mandatory)


- UGC-JRF / SRF Qualification (Desirable)


- Postgraduate: MBA (Mandatory)


- Undergraduate: BBA/BCom (Mandatory)


UPSC aspirants - will be preferred Experience:


- Minimum 10 years of academic/industry experience.


- At least 3 years of experience in an HOD/administrative position.


- Proven track record in academic leadership, curriculum development, and faculty management.


- Experience in collaborating with corporate partners for internships, placements, and research projects.

- Ability to manage faculty, students, and administration effectively.
