HMD Global - Executive - Availability Management

Responsibilities:

Phones:

- Supply Planning: Responsible for managing and converting 3 and 6-month demand forecast into weekly replenishment buckets. Variant level forecast inputs to be arrived at for the short term and mid-term demand basis the primary and secondary sales.

- Procurement: Ordering finished goods from the suppliers at a location level basis the target requirement and Days of Supply keeping the in view the daily production/supply capacity of the supplier.

- Launch Management: Work closely with the launch team for new launches, giving the availability inputs and cascading to the rest of the Customer Logistics team the information about distribution plan and geography level allocations.

- Inventory Management: Keeping a close tab on inventory movement and taking corrective actions of balancing models/variants among Zones within India Geography. Manage procurement of model/variants not moving as per plan.

- Visibility: Share the Model level visibility with the respective stakeholders, Country Level Demand Supply Balancing report.

- Collaboration: With factories and customer facing Customer Logistics Team, shares the IMEI details with the Customs Clearing Agent team for customs clearance.

- Replenishment Planning for After Sales requirements.

Gear:

- Supply Planning: Key participant in the Planning Process.

- Procurement & Availability: Ordering on supplier as per demand.

- Ensuring Inventory Holding Location level availability as per plans

- Collaboration: With supplier, customer and stakeholders

- Inventory Management: Keeping a close tab on slow moving items and taking corrective actions.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain experience, including a strong familiarity with supply chain management concepts and statistical analysis.

- Strong analysis and problem resolution skills.

- Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational, and presentation skills in a team environment.

- Self-motivated and able to work under continual deadline constraints.

- Knowledge of fundamental Operations processes & Supply Chain Concepts (i.e., Inventory Management, forecasting, replenishment, channel measurement).

- General knowledge of international business and a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity required.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Functional/Technical Skills/Knowledge

- Strong working knowledge of Inventory Management and Supply Chain Management concepts.

- Working knowledge of channel buying behaviors and ability to apply knowledge to forecasting process.

- Working knowledge of marketing concepts and impact on channel demand.

Other Qualifications:

- Minimum a full time Degree.

- Working Knowledge in SAP order management and reporting tools.

- MS Excel - Advance analytics like formulas, pivot tables etc.
