Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, HMD Global Oy is the new home of Nokia phones and tablets. HMD designs and markets a range of smartphones and feature phones targeted at a range of consumers and price points. With a successful launch of multiple smartphones in India - HMD Global is planning to expand its marketing function by hiring young and dynamic Area Marketing Managers at multiple locations to focus on better execution and customer focus.
Summary - Area Marketing Manager (AMM) is responsible for developing, Implementing and executing the marketing strategy in the region. AMM is the Single point of contact for all BTL activities for the assigned geography/channel. AMM role is a mix of execution and concept creation/planning (60% execution; 40% planning/strategy). Any retail/regional marketing professional who is willing to take on the challenge to script the greatest comeback stories of all times can apply for this role.
Reporting line - Regional Marketing Manager - Based out of Gurgaon.
Position is on Consultant Payrolls
Key Responsibilities/ Tasks :
1. Plan and execute marketing strategy in the region in close conjunction with the sales team.
2. Be customer facing to drive
a. Best in class Retail execution and Measurement as per processes
b. Consumer engagement activities primarily BTL/ on ground to build consideration and preference.
c. Channel Partner engagement
d. Rural Marketing program across the rural/semi urban towns
3. Ensure financial planning for the region and adherence of F& C processes.
4. Build a regional marketing calendar capturing Launches, channels initiatives, festivals, BTL activities to drive sell outs.
5. Regularly monitor and Manage Visual Merchandising teams as an extended team to ensure 100% execution at retail.
6. Manage and develop network of external agencies / Vendors to ensure high quality delivery of marketing activities
Key Deliverables :
1. High quality retail and in-store execution
2. Sell out focused tactical activities to support sales team
3. Smooth roll-out of all marketing campaigns

1. Sales team- BM of the respective Geos

Work experience and industry relevance :
1. 5-6 yrs experience
2. Background - MBA in Marketing
3. Preferred industries - FMCG, Consumer Durables, Beverages, Telecom
4. Previous roles - Retail marketing, Product manager, Brand manager, BTL, activation manager, VM expert.
