Job Description:

- As the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records and providing timely and insightful financial information.

- You will oversee the accounting team, manage financial reporting processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and contribute to strategic financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.

- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.

- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls.

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.

- Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory reports.

- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Lead the development and monitoring of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

- Analyze budget variances and provide insightful explanations to management.

- Work with department heads to ensure financial accountability and adherence to budget targets.

Internal Controls:

- Design, implement, and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.

- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to succeed.

Financial Analysis & Insights:

- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

- Provide insightful financial reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

- Contribute to the development of key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Leverage technology and automation to streamline financial processes.

Liaison with Stakeholders:

- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.

- Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to internal and external parties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Professional Certification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting certification is mandatory
