Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Establish and oversee requirements for data maintenance and management, collaborating with the IT team on implementation.
- Develop management reporting tools to monitor portfolio performance across various segments (e. , product, vintage, risk segment, score band, marketing channel) and account levels.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed review decks and conduct comprehensive analyses of the portfolio.
- Present findings and recommendations to management, highlighting trends and suggesting strategy changes.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor performance against established guardrails, and analyze portfolio and macro-economic data to assess potential impacts on business operations.
- Credit Scoring Models: Evaluate, implement, and monitor internal and external credit scoring models to ensure their effectiveness and accuracy.
- Policy Formulation: Develop and update credit policies and operational guidelines for the retail lending business, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Policy Implementation: Work closely with the IT team to implement new policies into systems.
- Review system validations, suggest improvements, and enhance system efficiency.
- Business Rule Engine: Manage and optimize the business rule engine to ensure it supports effective policy enforcement and operational efficiency.
- Policy Adherence: Create and implement mechanisms for policy adherence, regularly highlighting deviations to concerned authorities and recommending corrective actions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e. , CFA, FRM) are advantageous.
- Experience: Proven experience in risk management, policy formulation, or data analysis, particularly within secured business loans or retail lending.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Experience with credit scoring models and familiarity with business rule engines.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, to implement policies and improvements.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in policy development and data analysis
