About the Position: VCCEdge.com is part of Mosaic Digital which is the research and events business of HT Media.

We are actively seeking a Sales Team Member for a senior-level, frontline sales role that primarily focuses on research sales with additional responsibilities in events sponsorship. This position involves selling to clients in the investment ecosystem, including Private Equity/Venture Capitalists, Investment Banks, BFSI, Corporate Law firms, etc.

The candidate in this role will play a pivotal part in employing a strategic approach to selling, account planning, and building/managing relationships, all with a sharp focus on achieving sales targets. An understanding of the investment ecosystem in India is desirable for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, Negotiate, and Close Solution-Based Deals:

- Drive the negotiation and closure of multi-layered, solution-based deals.

- Emphasize research sales and SaaS sales in solution-based deals.

2. Account Mapping and Penetration:

- Map and penetrate large accounts using strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Prioritize research sales and SaaS sales in large account mapping and penetration strategies.

3. Business Acumen and Solution Proposal:

- Demonstrate a high level of business acumen.

- Understand the customer's business, organization, strategy, financial position, and propose solutions, with a specific focus on research and SaaS offerings.

4. Industry Awareness:

- Maintain a general awareness of the business, technology, investments, and start-up ecosystem in the country.

- Stay knowledgeable about the digital marketing and media ecosystem, with a specific focus on research and SaaS.

5. Account Management and Reporting:

- Conduct due diligence in providing accurate account management data.

- Generate precise forecasting and activity reports, with an emphasis on research and SaaS sales.

6. Commercial Drive:

- Possess a strong commercial drive to achieve and exceed given targets, especially in the realm of research and SaaS sales.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a senior-level sales role with a predominant focus on research sales and SaaS sales.

- Familiarity with the investment ecosystem in India.

- Strong strategic selling, account planning, and relationship-building skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for large account mapping and penetration.

- Business acumen with the ability to understand and align solutions with customer objectives, with an emphasis on research and SaaS offerings.

- General awareness of the business/technology/investment/start-up ecosystem in the country.

- Knowledge of the digital marketing and media ecosystem, with a specific focus on research and SaaS.

- Ability to provide accurate account management data, forecasting, and activity reports, giving priority to research and SaaS sales.
