Job Description:

Objective: The incumbent will systematically implement and leverage the company's public affairs programs, thereby securing approvals and permissions from the community, the administrators, regulators, and stakeholders for the smooth functioning of the factory and its allied operations. Maximize incentives, and mitigate regulatory, policy and reputational risks that may impede business operations, through proactive stakeholder engagement and advocacy, in Telangana. Will also engage proactively with the policy makers to ensure fair competition for the company. Manage HCCB's reputation, trust, and brand value in and around the factory location by seeking, maintaining, and continuously renewing its social license and implementing sustainability initiatives. The incumbent is also expected to archive key documents pertaining to PACS.

Function: Public Affairs, Communication & Sustainability

Work Location: Lote Plant

Job Responsibilities:

- Collaborate to design and develop plans to mitigate and manage risk to business operations in MH.

- Develop and implement engagement plans for the factory's local community and other stakeholders, including Industry Department, Skill Development Department, Municipal Corporations, Industrial Development Corporations, State Pollution Control Board, Water Authorities, Food Processing Society, State Industry & Infrastructure Corporation, State Power Corporation other relevant local statutory, regulatory and enforcement authorities

- Monitor regulatory landscape to manage risks and share insights

- Strategically guide the company brand experience for stakeholders, within and outside of Plant.

- Execute the company's long-term water, waste, agriculture, climate change and community initiatives in and around the factory

- Identify local needs for collaboration and engagement with policy makers, Key Opinion Leaders, Influencers, and Trade Associations

- Develop and implement programs, events and communication plans that integrate with the overall business goals and objectives of HCCB

- Engage with NGOs and monitor CSR activities around Odisha state.

- Act as an advisor, counsellor to factory managers and the operating teams on public affairs and community issues

- Implement guidelines, narratives, and experience for factory tours by visitors including regulatory and government officials

- Monitor critical consumer concerns and support HCCB Business Units

- Develop and implement a system for regular update and reporting of key approvals, strategic initiatives, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement plans.

External Customers: Political Representatives, Government Bodies, Government & Regulators, NGOs, Industry Bodies, Media, Community

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: Post Graduate degree/MBA from a reputed Institution

Experience: 6+ years of experience in Public Affairs and Communications field

Functional Skills:

- Knowledge of local political landscape in MH.

- Ability to work with policy makers and third parties to make a case for positive change

- Strong relationships with policy makers, regulators, government bodies, legislatures etc

- Ability to comprehend the public policy issues and draft representations

- Experience of working in public affairs, public relations, media, CSR, or political domain

- Knowledge of issues and trends in the manufacturing sector and the broader social, economic, political, and environmental landscape

- Knowledge of crisis and issues management

- Ability to deliver complex projects on time

- Strategic thinking and effective networking and influencing skills

- Excellent communication skills, and ability to attend sensitively to various stakeholder issues

- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing; the local Marathi language and English

Travel: 30% of the time
