Bachelor's degree in Food Chemistry, Engineering or related discipline preferred with 10-15 years of beverage industry experience in operations or staff engineering.
Objectives:
To conceptualize, adapt, develop and execute new technology encompassing engineering, process and Packaging developments across supply chain. The innovations have to generate value w.r.t portfolio and technology amidst the business framework, meeting the Quality and regulatory norms (BIS, PFA, FPO, PCB, W&M etc.) and consumer benefit/requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Scout for newer technology / processes in beverage processing/packaging which can improve overall Supply Chain Efficiencies/performance.
- Understand the changing macro / micro economic and consumer behavior changes and develop newer Packages / processes to cater to the same.
- Assess new engineering / process and Packaging solutions for business benefit.
- Carry out techno-commercial assessment and create business case for management decision.
- Track capital spends for innovation projects.
- Works closely with Commercial, BU, Engineering, Quality and Procurement teams on addressing the Supply Chain opportunity areas and finding newer solutions.
- Liaise with external partners like regulatory, environment bodies, OEM, Suppliers to be updated and adapt newer solutions to be ahead in beverage industry.
- Work with manufacturing locations for planning & implementing the identified solutions & prepare technology transfer document for associated learning & replication at other locations.
- Training on various Innovation tools and process.
- Work closely with various stake holders to timely execute various Innovation projects.
- Develop and support the Supply Chain Team with execution of new technology through
Functional specifications:
- Process guidelines
- SOP's and STP's
- Performance specifications.
- Create the development and sharing of - Best Practices
- Ensure that the plants are meeting or exceeding all government and company requirements regarding safety, health, and environmental for all innovation projects.
- Support existing asset utilization improvement.
Business Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Systems requirements & Statistics.
- Knowledge of CSD, Juice, Bottled water and Regulations.
- Knowledge of ETP operations and Hazardous material/waste Mgmt.
