Job Objective:
1. Drive execution of Collaborative Demand Planning process at zone level to ensure higher service levels with the least cost to serve
2. Facilitate generation and dynamic review of consensual sales forecast by ensuring participation from ASMs, SMs and all other key stake holders
3. Help cluster achieve higher level of efficiency by improving forecasting capability through analysis, continuous monitoring and providing continuous feedback to the sales team
4. Collaborate & provide continuous feedback to Supply Planning team on dynamic changes in demand, causal factors, local level promotions etc. to enable change in the supply plan
5. Drive S&OE process at zonal level.
6. Execute Planning Strategy
7. Continuously reduce BBD across zone
Job responsibilities:
1. Drive Demand planning process though sales forecasting Tool and ensure timely generation of sales forecast
2. Facilitate the sales forecasting process by ensuring inputs from sales, channel and operations team
3. Collaborate with all stake holders to arrive at a consensus demand plan for general as well as modern trade
4. Feed in relevant promotion related details into the TOOL and ensure all local level causal factors are in the demand planning tool.
5. Use statistical tools to generate data on variation in demands vs various inputs like schemes, promos, NPD etc.
6. Feed in demand plan with relevant assumptions to Supply Planning team.
7. Monitor actual sales, orders & log events on weekly basis. Identify exceptions to the Demand & feedback the changes into the Supply Planning. Ensure faster response to the changes in market demand.
8. Monitor & work towards improvement in Weekly forecast accuracy for cluster
9. Help business in the supply Planning Process by providing inputs on short- and medium-term forecast
10. Collaborate with Supply planning team in converting unconstraint forecast into constraint forecast
11. Collaborate with local channel and Key accounts team to get forecast for Modern Trade
12. Provide continuous feedback to sales team on sales vs forecast and demand signal to ensure dynamic changes in the demand plan
13. Actively contribute in the roll out of Demand Operation & Inventory Planning Tool Implementation
14. Drive Sales and Operation Execution ( S&OE) at zonal level
15. Execution of overall planning strategy
Key Customers : Sales team, Business Unit Head, Marketing Team, Trade Marketing and Supply Planning Manager
Minimum work exp: 2-5 years of work experience in Sales / Demand Planning area
Business Knowledge: Commercial, Planning, Sales forecasting process, basic Operation and Inventory planning, basic financial analysis and Statistical analysis
Functional Competencies : Graduate/PG from a good institute and 2-3 years of sales / demand planning experience.
Key Success Criteria : High level of analytical skills, functional competence in the area of Demand management, Ability to influence without power, Good interpersonal skills, Influencing skills etc.
