WHAT'S THE ROLE?

In our dynamic and rapidly expanding Data Center (DC) business, we seek a seasoned expert in the DC industry to join us as our Business Developer - Data Center. As the primary representative for a key portfolio of Focus Accounts comprising owners, consultants, and MEP contractors, you play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Hilti's DC business. Your core responsibilities include formulating and implementing a strategic roadmap aimed at increasing the adoption of Hilti solutions within your designated Focus Accounts. This role is an individual contributor role located in Mumbai, with travel across domestic locations.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

Focus Account Business Development

- You already possess a thorough understanding of the DC market, allowing you to engage meaningfully with key stakeholders and decision-makers across owner organizations, consultants, and MEP contractors. You shape our approach to focus account engagement, prioritizing activities that drive impactful outcomes.


- Your ability to articulate clear development plans for focus accounts is matched by your consistent execution and willingness to adjust course as necessary, all while ensuring transparent communication and alignment across teams. Strategy and Partnerships You take ownership of the segment strategy for your DC Focus Accounts, mapping the current landscape and defining the way forward - from product offerings to strategic partnerships.


- Your leadership extends to executing this strategy on the ground, driving internal and external initiatives. Organizing and leading workshops, seminars, and events comes naturally to you as you steer the direction of our relationships through your initiatives.

Techno-Commercial Proposal Development

Drawing on a comprehensive understanding of your focus accounts' needs and Hilti's solutions, you craft tailored proposals and specifications aimed at setting account standards for future projects. Collaborating closely with engineering, you prepare detailed budgets and BOQs, leveraging internal relationships to ensure mutually beneficial techno-commercial proposals that align with the goals of Hilti and our customers.

Cross-functional Coordination:

As a leader, you excel at fostering collaboration across functions and locations within the organization, particularly with engineering and material management teams. Your proactive communication and networking skills enable your focus accounts to navigate their time-sensitive DC projects seamlessly, ensuring timely execution and project completion.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

- Experience in the DC industry and ecosystem is mandatory, ideally with a focus on MEP and other non-structural applications.

- A minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B Business Development is required.

- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to engage with C-level executives.

- Proven ability to tackle complex subjects independently and thrive in autonomous work environments.

- Possesses strong techno-commercial acumen, coupled with effective planning and prioritization skills.

- Strategic planning and management prowess with the ability to lead internal initiatives by collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrates a relentless drive for success, with a genuine eagerness to continuously learn and improve.

- A degree in Engineering is a prerequisite, while an MBA from a prestigious institution is considered advantageous.
